Flyr starts selling flight tickets for European flights
The Norwegian newcomer Flyr has started selling flight tickets for European flights. Flyr will start with the first European flights to primarily sun destinations within Europe in August. Especially popular seaside resorts around the Mediterranean Sea will be flown.
Boeing 737-800
Flyr starts with the Boeing 737-800. The first aircraft has been delivered. The intention is that Flyr will compete with airlines like SAS and Norwegian. Flyr plans to expand its fleet to 30 aircraft in the coming years.
First flight
The first flight of Flyr will be on June 30. This flight will be from Oslo to Tromso. Flyr will only operate domestic flights for the next 2 months. On August 21 the first European flight will be operated. The first destinations within Europe are Alicante, Malaga and Nice. At this moment Flyr employs 67 people. It is the intention that Flyr will employ 350 people by the end of this year.
