Emirates equips 205 Boeing 777 aircraft with bar
Emirates has ordered 205 new Boeing 777 aircraft. These will all be fitted with a bar similar to the one in the Airbus A380 (pictured). The bar will be available for Business Class and First Class passengers. With the addition of the bar, the Boeing 777 should be similar to the Airbus A380. No photos are yet available showing what this will look like in the Boeing 777 aircraft.
Delivery in 2026
Emirates’ first Boeing 777 with bar will be delivered in 2026. So there is still some time to wait for travellers to order something at the bar in an Emirates Boeing 777 too. Currently, Emirates’ order consists of 170 aircraft of the largest type (the Boeing 777-9) and 35 of the smaller Boeing 777-8. Delivery will start with the Boeing 777-9.
By passenger request
The addition of the bar in the Boeing 777 is at the request of passengers. According to passengers, the difference in experience between the Airbus A380 and the rest of Emirates’ fleet is too great. Emirates wants to reduce the comfort difference between the aircraft types. Incidentally, there will be no shower for passengers in the Boeing 777.
Currently, Emirates flies 19 a week between Dubai and Schiphol Airport. As of next week, there will be even 21 weekly flights between Dubai and Schiphol. The Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER will be used for this purpose.
