WestJet starts codeshare with KLM

WestJet is expanding its European network. WestJet has started a codeshare agreement with KLM. WestJet will start with flights from Calgary to Schiphol and offer connecting flights to 18 European cities. The flights are operated with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and there will be two flights a week between Calgary and Schiphol. As of September, the frequency will be increased to three times a week.

Cooperation

The cooperation is not new. WestJet has a long history of cooperation with KLM on flights in North America. This expansion in Europe will give Canadians more opportunities between Europe and Canada. WestJet will operate flights under its own name from Schiphol to Vienna, Brussels, Toulouse, Lyon, Montpellier, Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hanover, Milan, Venice, Lisbon, Madrid, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, and London’s City and Heathrow airports.
