Eurowings puts the currywurst on the menu

Passengers of Eurowings could already enjoy the real Pommes Frites on board of their flight this summer. Now Eurowings comes with a new German speciality, namely the Currywurst. This snack was already available on a few flights and has now been given a permanent place on the Eurowings menu. The Currywurst will be available on all Eurowings flights longer than one hour. Eurowings expects the snack to sell well.

Currywurst Day

That the snack is popular among Germans is obvious. The Currywurst even has its own national day. Currywurst Day is celebrated every year on 4th September. Every year Germans eat some 800 million Currywurst. The Currywurst can be bought for 7.50 Euros each and currently Eurowings is the only airline to have this snack on the menu. The home base of Eurowings is Dusseldorf Airport.
