Air France to start flight from Paris to Newark

At the end of this year Air France will start operating flights from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Newark Liberty International airport. The flights will be operated daily with a Boeing 777-200ER. The flight will accommodate 280 passengers. There are 216 Economy class seats, 40 Business class seats and 24 Premium Economy seats.

Flights to America

The daily flight to Newark Airport is in addition to the 6 daily flights between Charles de Gaulle and New York JFK. The demand for flights to America is increasing and Air France is responding well to this trend. The first flight to Newark Airport will be on 12 December. Newark Airport is the second largest airport in the New York area. The airport is located less than 30 kilometres from Manhattan.

Profit

Air France-KLM returned to profit for the first time since COVID. Both Air France and KLM recorded an operational profit in the past quarter. This is due to the strong recovery of demand for air travel. The profit could have been even higher if the problems at the airports had not been an issue. The outlook for this year is good.
