Alaska Airlines unveils Boeing 737 in Star Wars style
Alaska Airlines celebrates 4 May with a very special unveiling. A Boeing 737 completely in Star Wars style. It is a tribute to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park. Alaska Airlines flies many passengers to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.
Alaska Airlines created this design in cooperation with Disneyland Park, Lucasfilm and Yellow Shoes. The design took a lot of time and the final design is space black with Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon on the tail. It will take on 4 TIE Fighters. In an interview with Fast Company, the managing director of Alaska Airlines says the following:
We wanted to get the real Star Wars fans excited and involved with the design. The public responds very well to the secrecy of the design. It is a successful project of which we are very proud.
The Boeing 737 with this impressive design will continue to fly on the normal route network of Alaska Airlines. Anyone can therefore make a flight with this aircraft. The Boeing 737-800 with registration N538AS can carry a maximum of 159 passengers. The crew usually consists of 2 pilots and 4 stewardesses.
