Schiphol expects 2 million passengers in autumn holiday
Schiphol Amsterdam expects 2 million passengers in the coming 2 weeks. During the autumn holidays many Dutch people go on holiday, mainly to destinations around the Mediterranean. This is about 3 times as many passengers as last year during the autumn holidays. This holiday period shows a clear recovery compared to last year.
London, Barcelona and Istanbul
The most popular holiday destinations at this moment are London, Barcelona and Istanbul. This is evident from Schiphol flight data. Besides these three destinations, package holidays to holiday islands are especially popular. This mainly concerns holidays to Ibiza, Mallorca and the Canary Islands. Due to the busy traffic at Schiphol, the check-in process may take longer than usual.
