Code yellow
Transavia will fly to many destinations which might be assigned ‘code yellow’ on May 15th. These destinations are likely to be Portugal, Mallorca, Iceland and the Greek islands. In the coming weeks, the number of flights and the number of destinations will be rapidly expanded. In all likelihood Transavia will start flying again to many South European destinations as of June.
At this moment Transavia flies on 30% of the capacity. De Nooijer says he wants to operate at 80% of capacity in the summer, he says the following about this:
We see that the number of bookings is increasing with a big rise at the beginning of this week and we are taking into account that more people than usual are booking later. Our crew and the staff at the airports are ready for it.
