EasyJet sells aircraft for more liquidity
EasyJet is going to sell planes again to get more money on the balance sheet. The UK price-fighter is going to sell 11 Airbus A320 aircraft. These aircraft will be sold for EUR 181 million.
Renting aircraft
The construction is lucrative for investors. The planes are immediately rented back by EasyJet. 10 aircraft will be sold to ACS Aero 2 Beta Limited. This investment company leases the aircraft back to EasyJet for 58 months. One aircraft is sold to JLPS Holding Ireland Limited. This investment company also leases the aircraft back to EasyJet.
Fleet
EasyJet’s fleet still consists of approximately 40% of its own aircraft. CEO Johan Lundgren is forced to make this decision. It is about the continued existence of EasyJet.
