Hackers steal data from 9 million EasyJet passengers
As a result of a cyber attack, hackers have seized data from at least 9 million EasyJet passengers. According to EasyJet, this would involve addresses and travel details. Credit card details of at least 2,200 people were also accessed. The authorities in the United Kingdom have been informed about this hack. The case is being investigated. The hack is said to have taken place as early as January.
No abuse
EasyJet indicates that so far there is no evidence that the data has been abused. The passengers from whom the information has been stolen are requested to change their login details. Passengers are also warned to keep an eye on suspicious transactions.
